As a young man, Mr. Joseph Scuderi served in the army and worked for Reynold’s Ford Dealership, where he developed a lifelong interest in collectible cars.
Scuderi founded Pyramid Brokerage Company in 1971 as a residential and commercial real estate brokerage firm. The company expanded into The Widewaters Group in 1984, a commercial development and construction company that now owns and operates shopping centers, hotels, and multi-family units throughout the country. Today, he serves as Chairman of the Board for both Pyramid Brokerage Company and The Widewaters Group.
Scuderi has served on numerous boards throughout his career, including Christian Brothers Academy, from which he graduated in 1953. He and his wife, Elaine M. Scuderi, founded the Joseph and Elaine Scuderi Foundation, which provides tuition assistance for Syracuse city students. Scuderi is currently a Knight in the Equestrian Order of Jerusalem.
Scuderi enjoyed his years in the Boy Scouts and is grateful for the discipline it taught him. He has the highest regard for his leaders and fellow scouts and attributes his success in part to the values instilled in him as a member: On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
