Phillip Rubenstein is the president of United Radio, Inc. He is the third generation of Rubensteins to lead United Radio, having assumed the presidency from his father, Arnie, in 2005.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Rochester and worked for the Eastman School of Music as a recording engineer before returning to United Radio as Manager of the Home Office Division, later serving as the Vice President.
A graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse class of 1997, Phil went on to serve on the board of the LGS Alumni Association, the LGS Policy Planning Council, and was involved in the separation of Leadership Greater Syracuse and FOCUS. He continued to serve on the Board of Leadership Greater Syracuse and was President of the Board for several years.
Phil currently serves as the President of the Board of the Sam Pomeranz Jewish Community Center and is on the board of the Syracuse Jewish Community Foundation. He has also served on the boards of Menorah Park and the Boy Scouts of America Longhouse Council, and is a past president of the Syracuse Jewish Family Service.
Phil earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 1983 with Troop 40 in DeWitt and is a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
