Milt was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing in June of 1970. He entered the financial services industry in 1972 in Wilmington, DE. He moved to Syracuse in April 1983 to take over the operation of an Insurance agency. He is past President of Syracuse Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and past President of Syracuse General Agents and Managers Association. He served on the Boards of the Financial Services Professionals as well as the Estate Planning Council. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from The American College and a Certification in Long Term Care (CLTC) designation from the Corporation for Long Term Care Certification. He is a life and qualifying member of The Million Dollar Round Table. He and his youngest son, Brian, manage Hill and Associates Financial Services, Inc., an insurance and financial planning company with clients located throughout the country.
Milt began his Scouting journey in 1957 in the Del-Mar-Va Council, where he received his Eagle in 1963. He is active in the Longhouse Council of the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Council Treasurer. He is a past Council President. He has received the District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver, and William Hillcourt Exceptional Scouter Awards. He has many great Scouting memories, including a trip to a National Explorer conference held at the US Naval Academy, 50-mile canoe trips to Algonquin Provincial Park, the 1964 Jamboree at Valley Forge, and watching young Scouts on their first summer camp experience at Sabattis.
He and his wife, Terri, celebrated their 52nd anniversary this past March. They reside in Fayetteville. They have three children and six grandchildren. Milt enjoys reading, music, boating, woodworking and gardening. His wife Terri was an accomplished travel agent, and they have enjoyed many interesting trips both in the USA and abroad, having visited more than 60 Countries and counting.
