Meet 2018 NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award Recipient: Robert Berger

Robert Berger has over 30 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. He previously served as the Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Lawrence Industrial Services Inc., ad was also a member of Seton-Mt. Dora LLC and DeltaPoint Capital Management LLC. Berger served as the Senior Vice President, Treasure, and Chief Financial Officer of ONBANCorp, Inc. From April to August 1998, Berger served as a Consultant to M&T Bancorp. He was previously employed at Price Waterhouse Co. Berger has been a Co-Chairman of the Board of OP-TECH Environmental Services Inc. He has served as Vice Chairman and Director of Beacon Federal Bancorp, Inc. and Beacon Federal. From August 1998 to June 20020, Berger served as a Director of the Madden Institute of Business Education at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York where he also served as an adjunct professor. Berger holds an MBA in Accounting from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Business, and is an alumni of Hamilton College.

Berger has been an active volunteer in the community as well. He previously served as the First Vice Chairman of the New York/Pennsylvania region of the American Red Cross Blood Services. Additionally, he has made significant contributions to the BSA Longhouse Council, previously serving as a Scoutmaster, and for the past 24 years, served on the council’s Executive Board. He previously served as the Vice President for Strategic Planning and subsequently as the council’s treasurer, where he was instrumental in guiding the council through difficult financial times and leading it back to fiscal responsibility.
