Seaway Trails’ Hermon-DeKalb Scout Troop 144 Scout, Jack V., has recently had his Eagle project featured in a North Country Now article.
Jack V.’s project is focused around his love for cats. After talking with the Potsdam Humane Society, he learned they are in need of cat enrichment items. He began designing a cat tree playground to be added to the humane society’s cat room.
In order to fund the materials needed for the project, Jack’s troop is hosting a lighthearted “Poorly Drawn Pets” fundraiser between now and March 11, 2026. Those who donate will be able to submit a photo of their pet to be hand-drawn, with no guarantees of the artistic quality. Each drawing will be posted on the troop and humane society’s Facebook pages within 72 hours of submission.
