Michael Madden has over 40 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. H began his career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1973, becoming a Vice President in 1977, and a partner in 1980. He was named head of Worldwide Investment Banking in 1986 and joined Lehman Brothers in 1989 as Co-Head of Global Investment Banking. He returned to Kidder in 1993, and helped orchestrate its merger with PaineWebber in 1995, where he became the Vice Chairman. He founded Hanover Capital LLC in 1997, and later became a senior partner at Questar LLC, a private equity firm, BlackEagle Partners, LC (named after his old Boy Scout patrol, the “Black Eagle Patrol”), where he remains the Managing Partner. He has been included in the 34th through 37th editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, and the 46th through 70th editions of Who’s Who in America, the 22nd and 28th through 43rd editions of Who’s Who in the East, and the 23rd through 25th and 27th through 33rd editions of Who’s Who in the World.
He is the former Chair of the LeMoyne College Board of Trustees, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Catholic TV Center and current member of the Board of Trustees of Canisius High School. In addition to his support of LeMoyne’s Madden Institute for Business, he is active in LeMoyne’s Center for Aging Resources and Enrichment (“CARE”) which provides education and resources for senior citizens, and individuals and organizations that support them in the Central New York area.
