Historic Summer Cub Scout Event Updated 6/3/10

Historic Summer 2010, are you ready?? We have 3 great events lined up for you! June 12th at 9am we will be taking an Historic Walk of Downtown Syracuse led by Mr. Seloff of East Syracuse Elementary July 11th at 10am we will be given a tour through the historic Tully Cemetery & Train Depot. We have reserved the Train Depot for a picnic so please feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the tour. Saturday, August 21st, from 1 pm - 3 pm we will have a historic scavenger hunt throughout Onondaga Lake Parkway.Cub Masters- Don't miss these great events. This is more than 1/2 of what you need to qualify as a Quality Summer Unit!

Longhouse Council Time Capsule Dedication in Honor of 100 Years of Scouting Posted 5/20/10

To recognize 100 years of Scouting, the William Hillcourt Museum is sponsoring this unique opportunity to be part of Scouting History. The District will be given a Time Capsule to fill with items that represent the Scouts and Scouters of the district. In August of 2010, the William Hillcourt Museum will host a picnic at Camp Woodland to dedicate an eternal light under which the Time Capsule will be sealed for 10 years. Packs 100, 210, 244, 307 and 369 Planted Flowers at the Shoppingtown Mall Posted 4/28/10

The UP No. 2010 honors Scouting's 100-year impact on the nation and the many Scouting enthusiasts in Union Pacific's work force and communities

Onondaga District Seeking Donations of Uniforms and Equipment

The Onondaga District is seeking donations of Scout Uniforms and Scout related supplies such as tents, cook kits, stoves, etc. If you know of Scouts or Cubs who have outgrown their uniforms or no longer use their equipment please ask them to donate these items to the Onondaga District's scouting program.
