Scouting in Syracuse

Scouting in Syracuse is a community outreach initiative of the Longhouse Council. Our objective is to work with community partners to engage youth and families and to extend Scouting programs and services in the City of Syracuse.

Scouting America’s programs engage youth and their families in experiential learning and outdoor adventure that develop character, citizenship, and personal and mental fitness, giving them the tools to be prepared for life. Through our Scouting in Syracuse initiative, we can bring these programs to more families.

Our Programs

Work With Us

We are building community by working with our partners. How can you help?

  • Volunteer with a program – Scouting functions through the work of dedicated adult volunteers who partner with youth to empower them and deliver the program. Whether you are a current Scout leader, Scouting alumni, or have a passion for helping youth, we have volunteer opportunities for you. Please get in touch so we can connect you to a program.
  •   Partner with a program site – Scouting programs can extend your organization’s reach to youth and families in the communities you serve. We have a variety of models to incorporate Scouting into your organization.
