Dr. Joseph Karpinski was named the Man of the Year by the National Medical and Dental Association at a convention held with the National Advocates Society earlier this month in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has also received a recent honor based on not only his international reputation as an oral and maxillo-facial surgeon, but for his championing of Polish-American causes.
Karpinski has also been involved in the local community servicing on commissions and boards, including the Cayuga County Boy Scouts, Cayuga Health Association, St. Hyacinth’s Church, and Cayuga County Cerebral Palsy. He also served as president of the Cayuga County College Foundation.
Among his many honors, Karpinski was chosen as “Polish-American Man of the Year” by the Finger Lakes Relief for the People of Poland in 1982.
The Auburn native lectured and conducted clinics throughout the world. His studies have been published and he serves as consultant at eight Central New York hospitals. He also served as a clinical associate professor at Loyola University School of Dentistry.
