Scouting for Food 2025 is a community service event where Scouts collect non-perishable food donations for local food banks and pantries. The event typically involves two weekends: the first for distributing collection bags or door hangers, and the second for collecting the donated food from doorsteps for delivery to those in need. Specific dates and goals vary by local council, but the general purpose is to provide food to local families struggling with food insecurity.
The recent food drive in Auburn was a resounding success, as the combined efforts of Troop 11, Troop 21, and Pack/Crew/Troop 43 resulted in the collection of 5,096 food items. These generous contributions will be distributed to five food pantries in the Auburn area, providing much-needed support to local families in need. This collaborative effort not only highlights the spirit of community service but also showcases the dedication of these troops to making a positive impact. Their Good Turn is a testament to the power of collective action and the difference it can make in the lives of others. Thank you to all involved for your selfless contributions and commitment to helping your community thrive.
