Local Scouts have begun their annual Popcorn Sales! Throughout Central and Northern New York, Scouts and families will be at local stores and businesses or out and about in your neighborhood selling wonderful products to support their programs. You’ll spot these driven young leaders and their families at local stores, community events, and even right in your neighborhood, offering delicious popcorn products to fuel their adventures and support Scouting programs. Two-thirds of proceeds support Scouting programs in the Longhouse Council.
But this isn’t just about tasty snacks — it’s about building future leaders. Through the popcorn sale, Scouts learn real-world skills like salesmanship, goal-setting, public speaking, and financial responsibility. These lessons will last a lifetime.
Scouts will be selling at hundreds of locations through the month of November, including the CNY Regional Market in Syracuse, BassPro in Auburn, and the Salmon Run Mall in Watertown. Be sure to be on the lookout for these amazing young people and the chance to support them.
