Syracuse, NY – The Longhouse Council Training Committee is pleased to announce that Kimberly Stanton has been selected as Chancellor for the Council’s 2026 University of Scouting Training. In this role, Kimberly will lead the planning and execution of this keystone Council training event.
Kimberly is Cubmaster of Pack 208 and Committee Chair of Troop 203G, both in Liverpool. She is a recipient of the Den Leader Training Award and Cub Scouter Training award, and is a graduate of Wood Badge Course CST 10-373-25, earning her beads in October 2025. She serves on the Council Training Committee and has served on the training team for Cub Leadership Lab. In addition to her training experience, Kimberly has also served on staff for Cub Scout Day Camp at Camp Woodland, and will be Camp Director in 2026. She also designed and leads the Beyond the Arrow event for AOL Scouts at Camp Woodland.
University of Scouting will be held on Saturday April 11, 2026 at Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square. This will be the first University of Scouting offered in Longhouse Council since 2024. The event will feature classes for Scouters at all levels of the program and experience levels. New to UofS, this year’s event will also feature merit badge opportunities for youth.
