Raising over $600,000 to support the nation’s foremost youth leadership and adventure program, and provide lifelong memories to young people in Central and Northern New York.
Our amazing ScoutPower team led by Joanie Mahonie, President of SUNY ESF, worked tirelessly over the last year to coordinate, prepare, and facilitate the premier fundraiser and title social event of Central New York.
Thank you to all our sponsors, especially our presenting sponsors: Syracuse University and JMA Wireless. With your bounteous support, Longhouse Council will be able to privde camping, career development, leadership, training, and character development for all young people in our program. This is accomplished through the diligent efforts of 1,000 volunteers who curate fun activites to 1,500 young poeple in our program, and all interested young people throughout Central and Northern New York.
Furthermore, the support of the community at large: with various silent auciton donatoins, grabbing the ears and hearts of friends and family through word-of-mouth advertising, and attending the event was outstanding! Through the earnest support of the community, Longhouse Council can follow the Scouting America motto and “Be Prepared” with fantastic programs.
