Woodbadge 2025

Wood Badge is considered the premier leadership training course for Scout Leaders. Wood Badge for the 21st Century is available to registered leaders of all levels of the Scouting program – Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouts. It concentrates on providing training on modern leadership skills needed in today’s world for Scout leaders. Wood Badge Training will not only make you a better Scout Leader, it will also assist you in improving your personal and professional life as well.

Wood Badge is designed to meet the advanced leadership needs of all adult leaders across all Scouting programs.

Cub Scout leaders, Scout BSA leaders, Venturing and Sea Scout leaders, District and Council leaders, all should attend to enhance their skills and knowledge and prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

To attend Wood Badge, individuals must:

  • Be a registered member of Scouting America and at least 18 years of age at the start of the course.
  • Complete the basic training courses for your current Scouting position.
  • Be capable of functioning safely in an outdoor environment.
  • Complete parts A,B, & C of the Annual Health and Medical Record.

By taking Wood Badge, Scouters will acquire valuable tools such as listening, communicating, conflict management, project planning and leading change.

Participants will better learn to understand and appreciate diversity and differences in our society. They will learn skills that will make them a better Scout leader. Units with trained leaders are able to deliver an improved program and a more meaningful experience for youth Scouting serves. By attenidng Wood Badge, the participants will internalize the themes: living the values, growing, connecting, guiding, and empowering.

The 2025 course will be hosted at Camp Woodland, on 2 weekends.

  • Friday-Sunday | April 4-6, 2025
  • Saturday-Sunday | May 3-4, 2025

The course will cost $325, there are camperships available!
