Scouting America, Longhouse Council, is thrilled to announce that Mike Tirico, one of the most recognized and respected sportscasters in the nation, will be the keynote speaker for ScoutPower 2025. This premier event will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the iconic JMA Wireless Dome at Syracuse University.
Joanie Mahoney, President of SUNY-ESF, will serve as Chair of ScoutPower 2025. Under her leadership, this year’s event promises to be an extraordinary celebration of leadership, community, and Scouting values.
This year’s event will also honor Chancellor and Eagle Scout Kent Syverud of Syracuse University for his exemplary commitment to education and service, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the Central New York community and beyond. Chancellor Syverud’s dedication to fostering leadership and innovation aligns seamlessly with the values and mission of Scouting America.

ScoutPower 2025 is the Longhouse Council’s signature annual fundraising event, bringing together community leaders, alumni, and supporters to celebrate the impact of Scouting and to ensure its continued success. Proceeds from the event directly support programs that prepare young people for a lifetime of leadership, service, and achievement.
