  Title Thomas Edison

Thomas Edison once said something strange; he said: "I never did a day's work in my life". This sounds odd because he was famous for his work habits. He worked long hours. He only slept a few hours a night and he sometimes stretched out on a bench in laboratory for a short nap. So why would he say something like: "I never did a day's work in my life"?

Well, he then followed it up with a second comment: "It was all fun.". He discovered something very important; that when you really enjoy what you're doing--when it's fun--it doesn't seem so much like work.

Some of you may have noticed this. I know that many of you are involved in other activities-- athletic competition or music or theatre. And you know that if you want to be any good at these activities you have to practice and work at them. But because you enjoy them so much it doesn't seem so much like work. Its a good thing to remember.

If you enjoy doing something it's not so much work.
