The Tyranny Of Potential
Consider you have one pint of crude
from an oil well.
This could be refined into gasoline, airplane fuel, or heating oil.
It could be used as a feedstock for the plastics industry and might
be used to make a circuit board, a heart valve or a new toy.
It could be used to tar roads or a roof in a school.
It could be used to make the chemicals leading to a new wonder drug.
The possibilities are nearly endless.
However only one of those potential uses can be chosen for that
pint of crude.
Time has even more potential.
Again, although there are a myriad possibilities of how it can be
used, only one can be chosen.
Will you burn it up or make something out of it?
It is your choice, choose wisely.
