  Cherry Cobbler - Dutch Oven
  Ingredients

1 Yellow Cake Mix or 2 Packages of Golden Pound Cake
4 Cans of Cherry Pie Filling

  Directions
While waiting for the fire to get hot, line the Dutch Oven with aluminum foil. Make sure it doesn't interfere with the closing of the lid.

In a separate bowl, mix the cake mix or the pound cake until smooth... the batter should be thick yet thin enough to pour.

Add the 4 cans of Cherry pie filling into the Dutch Oven. Place on the fire. Be sure the oven is level. Pour the cake mix on top. Add the lid and check the bottom heat.

The cobbler should cook in 30 to 35 minutes. Allow 30 to 40 minutes when using the pound cake mix. Check every 15 minutes to control cooking. As with other cobblers, check it with a fork or knife for doneness when it is golden brown and cracking.

Remove from oven and let stand to cool. The trick will be to keep the Scouts and adults from taking samples! Enjoy.
